Benjamin Constancio
People should choose me as a coach because I bring a genuine passion for developing each player’s natural ability and a proven background as a PGA golf coach serving the Austin and Round Rock, Texas area. My teaching style is patient, encouraging, and direct, shaped by nearly 20 years of experience as a junior, collegiate, and competitive golfer. When you work with me, you gain access not only to my personal playing experience, but also to the knowledge and perspective passed down from the many PGA professionals, coaches, and mentors who have influenced my development. My golf journey began at The First Tee of Greater Austin, where I progressed through the Par, Birdie, and Eagle curricula under the guidance of Dave Baron, PGA Master Professional. I later advanced to the Ace program and competed on most major junior golf tours throughout Texas, building a strong foundation in competitive golf and long-term player development. In 2012, I was nationally selected to attend the First Tee Life Skills and Leadership Academy at Hofstra University. I also participated in the 2015 Players Advanced Academy at the University of Nevada, Reno, and competed in the 2015 Nature Valley First Tee Open at Pebble Beach and Poppy Hills, where I finished tied for third alongside my professional partner, Wes Short Jr. I earned a golf scholarship to St. Edward’s University, competing from 2017 to 2020 in both the Heartland and Lone Star Conferences. During my collegiate career, I recorded fifteen top-ten finishes, one individual victory, and posted a 72.85 scoring average during my sophomore season. Although the program was discontinued during the COVID-19 pandemic, I remained at St. Edward’s to complete my degree, graduating in 2021. From August 2021 to May 2023, I continued my competitive and professional development while pursuing an MBA at Concordia University Texas, competing for the men’s golf team during the 2021–2022 season and later serving as a graduate assistant for both the men’s and women’s golf programs in 2022–2023 as part of the American Southwest Conference. Since 2023, I have worked across several private golf facilities in Central Texas, including Spanish Oaks, Barton Creek, and Cimarron Hills, while also contributing to the growth of a custom golf glove company focused on premium performance and brand development. As of August 2025, I am proud to serve the Central Texas golf community as a Teaching Golf Professional at The Golf Driving Range in Round Rock, where I specialize in private instruction for juniors, competitive players, and adult golfers seeking measurable improvement, confidence, and long-term development. Why take golf lessons in Austin?
Austin's Texas Hill Country setting provides golf unlike anywhere else in the state. Barton Creek Resort's Fazio Foothills Course is built into dramatic limestone terrain with canyon views and elevation changes uncommon for Texas. Falconhead Golf Club and Avery Ranch offer accessible championship-caliber layouts amid live oak trees and rolling hills.
Year-round play is possible thanks to Austin's mild winters, though summers demand early morning tee times. The Hill Country terrain features rocky limestone outcroppings, native live oaks, and wildflower-lined fairways in spring. A local Austin instructor can help you manage the challenging uphill and downhill lies unique to Hill Country golf and adapt to Bermuda-to-ryegrass seasonal transitions.
Whether you're looking for private golf lessons, beginner golf lessons, or advanced coaching, our Austin instructors cover every aspect of the game. Book a PGA-certified golf instructor in Austin through LearnGolf and get matched with a pro who fits your goals, schedule, and budget.
