When you create an account, we collect your email address and password. Instructors may also provide their name, bio, certifications, specialties, experience level, hourly rate, profile photo, and teaching locations.

Booking Information

When you book a lesson, we collect the date, time, duration, lesson type, special requests, and payment information. Payment details are processed by Stripe and are not stored on our servers.

Automatically Collected Information

When you access the Platform, we may automatically collect:

  • Device information (browser type, operating system)
  • Log data (IP address, pages visited, time spent)
  • Usage patterns and interaction data
  • Approximate location based on IP address

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Platform
  • Process bookings and payments
  • Send transactional emails (booking confirmations, password resets)
  • Connect students with appropriate instructors based on location and preferences
  • Display instructor profiles and reviews publicly on the Platform
  • Monitor and analyze usage trends to improve user experience

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with the following third-party service providers who assist in operating the Platform:

  • Stripe: Payment processing for bookings and instructor payouts
  • Supabase: Database hosting and user authentication
  • Vercel: Website hosting, analytics, and performance monitoring
  • Resend: Transactional email delivery

We may also disclose your information when required by law, in response to legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of LearnGolf, our users, or others.

When you book a lesson, your name and contact information may be shared with the instructor to facilitate the lesson.

4. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information, including:

  • Encryption of data in transit via HTTPS/TLS
  • Row-level security policies on our database
  • Secure authentication via Supabase Auth
  • PCI-compliant payment processing via Stripe (we never store card details)

While we strive to protect your information, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Maintain your authentication session
  • Remember your preferences
  • Analyze site traffic and usage patterns (via Vercel Analytics)
