Why take golf lessons in Indianapolis?
Indianapolis has a notable golf heritage. Crooked Stick Golf Club hosted the 1991 PGA Championship—John Daly's breakout victory—and the 2016 BMW Championship. Brickyard Crossing is uniquely memorable, with four holes routed inside the Indianapolis Motor Speedway oval. Fort Golf Course provides accessible public golf on the city's south side.
Central Indiana's flat-to-gently-rolling terrain and four-season climate create courses with well-defined strategies and demanding rough in summer. The region's bentgrass greens are smooth and true, rewarding solid putting. An Indianapolis instructor can help you develop a well-rounded Midwest game—managing the summer heat, adapting to seasonal turf changes, and building the consistency needed for Indiana's varied course designs.
