Short-Sided

Missing toward trouble with little green

Pronunciation

/ʃɔːrt ˈsaɪ.dɪd/

Definition

When a golfer misses the green on the side where there's little room between the edge of the green and the hole. Being short-sided makes the next shot very difficult as there's minimal green to work with and often trouble between the ball and the pin.

Example

"He short-sided himself in the bunker."
