Definition

A device used to measure the speed of putting greens by rolling a ball down a ramp and measuring how far it travels. Stimpmeter readings typically range from 8 (slow) to 14+ (extremely fast). Tournament greens often measure 11-13 on the Stimpmeter.

"The greens were rolling at 12 on the Stimpmeter."
