I’ve proudly called the Treasure Valley home for seven years after relocating from Western Montana and have been teaching and coaching golf professionally since 2018. I work with juniors, beginners, and adult golfers, providing golf lessons in the Treasure Valley that are engaging, structured, and results-driven. In 2021 and 2022, I was honored as a U.S. Kids Golf Top 50 Coach, recognizing my commitment to junior golf development and proven, age-appropriate coaching methods. My instruction emphasizes game-based learning, helping junior golfers build strong fundamentals while allowing adult players to apply skills more effectively on the course. This approach leads to improved confidence, consistency, and lower scores. Whether you’re seeking junior golf lessons, private golf instruction, or a welcoming introduction to the game, my goal is to create a positive learning environment that helps each player progress and enjoy golf for a lifetime. I look forward to working with you and supporting your golf journey. Teaches at The First Tee of Idaho

I have been around the game of golf since I was able to walk. My dad would take me along to the local municipal course in Rexburg and let me putt and chip (with cut down clubs from a secondhand store). I started to take golf seriously during my junior year of high school where I qualified as an individual for the Idaho State Championship. I played in various Idaho Junior Golf Association tournaments, Rocky Mountain Junior Section tournaments, and The Dropping at Banbury. I competed in many State Amateurs, Idaho Mid-Amateurs, and the Nampa Amateurs. I served in the United States Marine Corps for four years as an infantry mortarman. When the opportunities arose, I found myself back at various golf courses on base in California and Hawaii. Having the opportunity to coach some of my fellow brothers how to enjoy the game was very rewarding to me and a great way to bond with them. Since being out of the Marines, I’ve had the opportunity to work at BanBury for the past two seasons helping with various junior programs. I love how quickly junior golfers can adapt and their willingness to learn. It’s incredible to watch them go from not being able to hold a club to seeing their eyes light up when they are able to hit the ball and enjoy their shots. I am also a Ping representative who aids in club fittings for courses throughout the state and region. I look forward to helping people enjoy the game of golf to the best of their abilities. Why take golf lessons in Boise?
Boise offers a surprisingly robust golf scene with quality courses like BanBury Golf Course, which winds through the Boise River corridor, and Falcon Crest Golf Club, which provides two distinct 18-hole courses. Hillcrest Country Club has been a Treasure Valley staple for decades, and the region benefits from Snake River Valley irrigation that keeps courses in excellent condition.
Boise enjoys a surprising 200+ day golf season despite its northern latitude, thanks to the high desert climate. Courses feature dramatic views of the Boise Front foothills and benefit from the long summer daylight hours. A Boise instructor can help you adapt to the semi-arid conditions, manage the firm fairways typical of Idaho golf, and handle the afternoon breezes that develop in the Treasure Valley.
Whether you're looking for private golf lessons, beginner golf lessons, or advanced coaching, our Boise instructors cover every aspect of the game. Book a PGA-certified golf instructor in Boise through LearnGolf and get matched with a pro who fits your goals, schedule, and budget.
